"A total of 388 people have died in Ukraine of flu and acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) as of Monday evening, the ex-Soviet state's Health Ministry said.
The ministry said eight people died over the past 24 hours.
The FLU epidemic started in Ukraine in late October, with about 1,636,000 people contracting the DISEASE since the outbreak start.
AS REGARDS SWINE FLU, the number of officially confirmed deaths in the country was earlier reported to reach 17, with 255 people infected.

There have been 17 people die in one day, from various news reports in one town.

No...in fact, the numbers are much higher per doctors. Up to 11/4 there were already 1,500 deaths. Doctors in the Ukraine have been told they cannot record information on death certificates that correlate with the pneumonic plague.

No, in fact they are much, much higher. As of 11/4, there were already about 1,500 (unconfirmed) deaths. Doctors have been told to not note pneumonic plague symptoms on death certificates. Why's that?

ppl seem 2 4get the fact that the medical records were taken by the police....so how do they have any proof of any real #'s? when i 1st read about all this crazyness afew weeks ago, i read that almost 2000 ppl died from this plague or whateva it is. then the #'s released by the WHO(WHO DONT HAVE A CONSCIENCE) dropped down 2 the triple digits. so..um...my conclusion is that the WHO r big fatty liar faces, WHO dont care how many die. thats my take.

You just gotta love the WHO for staying so true to form, and issuing this latest perfectly timed "warning". I'm so reassured to know the WHO is so deeply concerned about the state of my personal world health, as if this statement reveals anything I didn't already suspect -
