... AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CST MONDAY NIGHT...
THE WISCONSIN DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES HAS ISSUED AN AIR QUALITY WATCH FOR PARTICULATES... IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CST MONDAY NIGHT.
A STAGNANT AND INCREASINGLY DIRTY AIR MASS WILL INTENSIFY OVER THE UPPER MIDWEST DURING THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS. THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT PARTICLE POLLUTION CONCENTRATIONS WILL REACH UNHEALTHY LEVELS FOR PEOPLE IN SENSITIVE GROUPS FOR COUNTIES ACROSS THE SOUTHERN TWO-THIRDS OF WISCONSIN.
DUE TO THE POSSIBILITY OF ELEVATED LEVELS OF PARTICLE POLLUTION IN THE REGION THE WISCONSIN DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES HAS ISSUED AN AIR QUALITY WATCH THROUGH MONDAY.
CONCENTRATIONS OF PARTICULATES MAY APPROACH OR EXCEED UNHEALTHY STANDARDS. AT THIS LEVEL OF PARTICULATES EXPOSURE... MEMBERS OF SENSITIVE GROUPS MAY EXPERIENCE HEALTH EFFECTS. THE GENERAL PUBLIC IS NOT LIKELY TO BE AFFECTED.
Because I am Asthmatic and Diabetic, I will be remaining indoors until the warnings are lifted, and wearing a respirator, however, I felt it strange that this warning should be posted the morning following the small engine aircraft in our area. Our town has not had a single case of flu, or Swine flu symptoms. I will be curious to see what transpires after this announcement and the fly bys from last night. My fiance' works at the local area hospital, so she will be a good source of changes in local health information. I'll keep you posted.
Given that this is late fall, and in Wisconsin... I find it odd of an air quality advisory. Is this typical for this time of year? I live in Atlanta and it is highly unusual for poor air quality this late in the fall.
ReplyDeleteThe world has to wake up and realise that they are killing us off with this virus!
ReplyDeleteWe have had air quality warnings in our area in South Central Wisconsin for the last 4 days. It is very cloudy/foggy here and you can see this "mass of dirty air" they speak of.
ReplyDeleteYes, this is a common warning for this area. It happens several times throughout the year, including winter.
Here is a story that I found.

THIS JUST IN
Reports from the Ukraine..
============ ========= ========= ========= ====
The entire nation of Ukraine is under quarantine by the World Health Organization and by their own Ukrainian government. No one is allowed to enter the nation, and no one is allowed to leave. All transportation in or out has been grounded. All border crossings are closed and heavily guarded. All schools in the country are closed. Most businesses are shut down. No large gatherings of people are permitted. Only medically necessary and government vehicles are permitted on the streets. People are generally confined to their homes. Not a word of what is happening is being printed or reported on by the news media. There is a complete news blackout. And people are dying by the hundreds every day. A few bodies are being buried when possible. Most are being burned. Almost everyone in the country is wearing masks or bandanas over their faces for protection. The disease is highly contagious and thousands of new cases are occurring daily.

I have to say, the webcams show a different story than that, besides what I have read on message boards. The country is not in complete lock down at all.
ReplyDeleteYes, Sherrie, I also wonder what is really going on! I am presently conversing with a lady in the Ukraine and she paints a whole differnt picture. She believes that everything over there is politically motivated. No one trusts the government...well, does anyone trust the government, anywhere! When people that I know begin to die, then I'll know for sure that something is up...and I know a whole lot of people all over Canada and the USA! Perhaps this is all a molehill or maybe it's a mountain, but whatever the case, it's best to be prepared for anything that may come our way...have a plan...have a destination to go to...have provisions stocked up and so on. We know that eventually something will come along that will kill off a great deal of the earths population...it may be just around the corner!
ReplyDeleteim really surprised also, you hear about an entire country, in plague, then read about 360 deaths. this is a plague?
ReplyDeleteso maybe they just "want to" create a world panic, for a political clamp down. but don't really want to hurt too many people or maybe their distribution method, (for the new upgraded H1N1) is flawed, but they are trying to make a case for panic anyway.
something else is going on here.
make sure you get these "live cams" taped before they get shut down.
The panic is not enough. The goal is vast DEPOPULATION.

ReplyDeleteRight now, please go to the National Weather Service website, notice the U.S. map, notice the dark gray area spreading around Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, etc... Click in Wisconsin and read the Air Quality Alert. Now click on all the othet affected states in turn, reading the advisories... Why are some states warning of FOG, while some are warning of a "STAGNANT, DIRTY AIR MASS...and FINE PARTICULATE POLLUTION"?
I looked at the NWS website before bed and the dark gray was only covering 75% of Wisconsin, but now at 3:30 a.m. it is across several states, sporting differing Weather Alerts??????
What is going on folks?
RE: Wisconsin Air Quality Warning (After Low flying Planes...)
ReplyDeleteOn Saturday, Wisconsin Deer Hunting Season opened and the weather advisory in southwest Wisconsin was for "fog". By Monday, the Weather Service Warning Report for "STAGNANT AND DIRTY AIR MASS" and "PARTICLE POLLUTION CONCENTRATIONS WILL REACH UNHEALTHY LEVELS" had been extended through Wednesday November 25th,when “A MIX OF RAIN AND SNOW IS EXPECTED” (which will clear the air and bring any remaining particulate down to the ground). The area included in the Report is “ALL WISCONSIN COUNTIES SOUTH OF A LINE EXTENDING WEST TO EAST FROM SOMERSET TO MERRILL TO MARINETTE TO STURGEON BAY.” Interestingly, that covers basically all of the populated areas, including Madison and Milwaukee –and most of the prime hunting areas including the North Woods. As it is the height of Deer Hunting Season, there are HUNDREDS of deer hunters spending a lot of time outdoors. Good thing they aren’t in the “sensitive” groups. Maybe the real hunting targets aren't just the deer.
Very interesting concept, I have to say. Those with the guns are out and about right now.
